Wow! It's coming down buckets and the lightning and thunder has just been incredible and ongoing!
Hope you all are enjoying the rain and mother nature's spectacular show! I thought Monday's rain was something but this is awesome.
Cisterns shall be full tonight.

JE - don't know if you are getting this but suggest you wait on painting your railings!

I'm so jealous here on St. Croix. I am seeing the incredible lightning show. Wish it was here!

It moved in so quickly! But it moved on quickly too. Now all is quiet on the western front. Loved that rain!

Last night was the first time in over three years a severe weather warning set off the alert on my NOAA weather radio. They were reporting heavy rain, severe thunderstorms, and wind gusts up to 53 MPH for STT and STJ. An awesome light show from over here on STX. Hope everyone up there is OK.

It blew over my fish tail palm (not all the way but presently resembles the leaning tower of Piza) in the courtyard and totally demolished the tent tarp I had over my truck protecting it from dropping turpentine leaves.it looks like a crumpled mess so now trying to figure out what to do with it. Definately had some very strong gusts. There are leaves all over.

It's raining again and heavily. I know the islands need rain but I am ready for it to go away for awhile.

Send it this way, Alana! I haven't had a good soaking rain in almost a year!

Gladly, if I could, aussie! What area do you live that you haven't gotten the deluges we have had over the last week?
At least it's not as bad as one year where it rained for 30 days straight. I had just moved into this home on STT's Dorothea area.
That was a bummer with mudslides, rock slides, flooding and collapsing roads all over the islands due to a stalled out frontal system.
That was in Oct about 10 yrs. ago, mol. Guess, I'll just be grateful for a little rain.

West end of STX. Some areas close by have gotten rain but I've had very little. My yard is still burned up.

So strange how the weather works...I'm at the top of the rainforest and have gotten several deluges this week.
