mmmm.....Dashi...its in the Caravelle Arcade, the same one hotel carvelle (pink hotel on the boardwalk) is in. So glad when they opened a few years ago. So much better then the sushi nights the beach bars had. I'm bad with names but the waitress with the shoulder length straight blonde hair is the best one there by far. Try the plum saki.

Dashi is only good for maki sushi. They have very limited sashimi and nigiri sushi available. The maki is good though. The only Japanese beer that they have is Kirin, no Soporo!

I wish beni iguana would open a restaurant here, it's a pain to have to go to STT for good sushi.

Marty,
It's a 30 minute flight over. 20 minute taxi into town. 10 minute walk to Beni Iguana. Then reverse this to get home. In other words it takes 2 hours besides the time in the sushi bar. That's a pain.

We went to Dashi on Tuesday night - sooo good. We will definitely be back there. The prices were pretty good and the portions were large. Also, service was excellent. I've never had sushi with mango in it but I'm a definite fan now!
