Has anyone had any experience yet with the new owners?

We're looking to haul out and refit a boat this summer.

We also would consider IBY and Nanny Cay since the boat is moored in the BVI.

Both IBY and Nanny Cay are good.
Things may be more expensive in Tortola than STT, tho.

I, like many others, had horrible experiences with the former St. Croix Marine operation. Without a track record of some sort, I would stay away from having work done there for now.

That's not to say that the new company will repeat the same patterns and terrible customer service as the last owner. But, I'd still wait to see what happens there after some reviews and opinions come in.

Marine Management and Consulting out of St. Martin - same folks working the Summers End project in Coral Bay STJ.

The correspondence we have is with Krisztina Phillips, General Manager. Jeff Boyd is the president of MMC NV.

Daily News article announcing the sale was in early May.

The sale was actually in March, not May.

As an occasional contractor with the place over the years, I can say that Krisztina in the office, Winston in the store, and Terry in the yard are awesome. I haven't been in too recently, but it's good news for customers and contractors that Krisztina is still there.

SunnyCaribe, the 'stocky guy' who worked in the yard was Judd; he left when the prior owner did - the prior owner was the only reason he remained as long as he did...they were good friends. He has now sailed his vessel to Grenada for work.

Hi Pilatesgal318, Yes Judd was great, but I was referring to Terry ( I remembered his name and edited the post accordingly) who has worked there for a very long time.

If you have extensive work to be done I highly recommend Island Marine in Marina del Rey Fajardo PR.

Nany Key has excellent reputation but I have not experienced them personally.

You may also consider St Marteen. Probably most economical option.
