Want to take my wife on one for our upcoming anniversary and she finally feels comfortable leaving the little man with a sitter. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks

New Horizons out of Sapphire consistently garners excellent reviews:

Have fun!

Heavenly Days out of Bolongo does a great sunset cruise down the South coast, through the Harbor and town and back around Hassel Is. -- flat catamaran sailing, nice drinks and very professional crew on a comfortable vessel.

I thought of Heavenly Days but it's a cocktail cruise, not a dinner cruise - and note October days out for CG inspection.

A facebook friend shared "Lyric- a sailing music venue" I saw dates for the opening sail from STT but can't find it now. It sounds really unique & might be worth doing a search for.

Seems like a very "pie in the sky"operation with obviously no money but trying to raise some. Our electricity rate is 0.64/kWh? :S

Not really. I'm surprised there aren't more.

There's one power boat that gives you lobster and filet mignon and is private if he wants to drop $750 for 2 persons on board for a dinner cruise.

Our electricity rate, let's not forget, was around 64¢ per kWh until just recently. As to rest of what Lyric offers, I doubt that's what sparty has in mind for his anniversary.

My memory must be way out there as I can't recall it ever being 0.64.

Just to let everyone know, Lyric Sails is up and running, starting Sunset and Moonlight cruises in January on both St Thomas and St Croix, and Port Crawls in February in St Thomas! Check out www.lyricsails.com for online booking, schedules, live music calendar and more info! We're also doing Yoga and meditation sails in the mornings. All our sails will be on our boat, Jolly Mon, a 63ft custom built sailing catamaran. We're a sailboat, so we're as eco-friendly as the wind allows! Sorry if this is a shameless plug, but I had to respond to this old thread 🙂

Thanks stxem. We plan to be back on STX in January and I would love to try it out. Are you still monitoring your turtles?

Fly over to STX and take her to Zion Modern kitchen!! I swear of all the food I've had in my travels - they are the absolute best. Their mixologists are just really amazing! We never order off the drink menu but just tell them what we're in the mood for and they make these amazing cocktails that blow your mind. Absolutely love it. It also reminds me of The Annnex in Cape Town where I got engaged. The ONLY place I will eat Caribbean lobster from. To die for!

Also if you really want a special day my friends on The Heron are back in the VI. Shannon makes THE BEST crudités - it wouldn't be dinner - maybe she could - but rosé on a million dollar cat - pretty special. Tell them Squid sent you. They're such awesome people and their cat is insanely beautifull.

We ended up doing the trip out of sapphire. She enjoyed it. While I would love to fly to STX for a date night with her we both work a lot and have a toddler. This was actually the first time mama left him with a sitter since we've been here
