USVI License Plate Trivia:
The standard-issue license plates for St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John each start with their own letter.
In the photo montage below, I have redacted the last 2 digits of each plate for privacy purposes.

I'm confused - what am I supposed to be doing with this (or are you just stating a fact) Maybe I need more coffee 🙂

I'm just stating a fact.

Suggested action: At the next cocktail party, mingle and say, "Did you know that on each of the US Virgin Islands, the license plates start with a different letter?"

My guess is they start with the letter A and work their way through the alphabet.

I get it, C = St. Croix, J = St. John, and T = St. Thomas.

So after we issue 676,000 plates on St. Croix with the 'C' prefix do we have to rename the island?

They could just change the format to come up with more combos. Some states have had to do that.

Current format
CAB-123

Alternative formats:
CA-1234
CAB-1234
CA-123B
etc.

If we ever get to that point, I don't want to be living here.

Does anyone think that the bypass will be finished before next year's elections?

how about the north shore and east end police station?? ironically the sign for the east end police station still remains next to the dump.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the bypass will be open in time for New Years!

Trivia to me would be what color the plates were and what years. What year did they start using the plates more than one year? How did they do that? What were the various slogans? What year did they stop using the rental car plates? That's trivia to me. The T,C,J thing has always been so.

License plate numbers reused? If not, not that hard to hit the limit.
