Like many others, I have to leave STX due to the Hovensa closing ripple effect. I need to get my vehicle from St. Croix to Tucson, AZ. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations of companies to use or avoid? Thank you for your help.

Friend recently used Tropical with no problems. He shipped to Miami and then drove it home to Kansas City.

Thanks for the info, everyone. Except now I'm NOT moving to Tucson, I'm moving to New Orleans very quickly and have to have the car shipped from STX to New Orleans. Any other thoughts?

You will likely be looking at a week shipping time. For just a car, VICargo ships cars (using Tropical) to Miami. They will probably be the cheapest and you can pick it up in Miami and drive it to NOLA.

+1. If you hustle, you could drive Miami to New Orleans in a (long) day.

Sea Star, Crowley, and Tropical all ship to Florida- usually West Palm or Jacksonville on weekly and sometimes more frequent schedules. Try and go directly to one of these and then pick up the car in FL and drive- this would be the quikest- try and pre-clear the car and also have all of the bona fides (title, FL Insurance etc) in order....

From what I hear, make sure your car is very good condition when being shipped. Have it checked by a mechanic and make sure you get a good alignment job before driving off the dock in FL.
