Good to hear, goal! Must have been a good rain last night. I fell asleep really early & woke to a puddle in my living room floor. The rain from the east comes under my door.

Trade - we have the same issue with our kitchen door in wind driven rain. One word - Shamwow! No joke, it works great and I don't have to stand there and mop all through a storm.

We have had workers at our house for the last 3 weeks, 6 days a week. They arrive at 6:45 without fail and are the hardest working men I have ever seen. It is difficult having someone in your house every day and not only that, we have student teachers in our cottage. Never a moment alone but I am grateful for them all. I have been reading at night after everyone leaves and all my chores are done. I used to read all the time but for the last year not so much. Right now I am reading the series by James Clavell. Shogun was the first and now I am on Tai-Pan. Awesome reading.

Our cottage in the states had over half its value destroyed in the flood so we are on the phone all day every day talking to insurance people, city people, fema ect. It is never ending. I had to rent another house for my mother and pregnant daughter. Repairs and rebuilding will take at least 3 months but probably longer. It's ok. Not what happens in life but how you deal with it. I still can't remember who said that but I am going to go with it. I am going to deal with it all well and count our blessings which are many.

My son JJ is growing like a weed and always hungry. He has had to abandon being naked all the time in the house because we have had the workers here constantly. Today he forgot and came out of his room naked as a J bird. That is what we call him. J bird. I turned into my very southern mother and said, " Look at you. Naked as you were born in front of God and all our company. Do you want me to switch your backside? He replied in his half cruzian, " I didn't see he and I am sorry." He ran back to his room to put some clothes on while I am fussing at him not to say he.

:@) That's one of the better JJ stories, Tam. Hope it all works out with the cottage. Fix it & get rid of it. Who needs the headache?

I'm getting really tired of being threatened with being beaten up by a nitwit on this board. It's been reported & it better not happen again.

This is the kind of PM sent to you id you disagree with a Board member of USVINorml. The statements NOT in bold are my replies after this person PM'ed me. The bold are his. It's not the first time he PM'ed me wanting to meet up & beat me. That time when I REPLIED he went whining to Islander that I was nasty to him in a PM. I'm a 65 year old female with health problems. I don't need this. This is a heads up about this guy who obviously has no control & anger management issues.

Trade
I've told you before not to PM me.

I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in a motorcycle accident about 7.5 years ago, so my memory is not very good. I had no idea that you didn't want any PM's from me...my apologies....besides, if you don't want to read PM's no one is holding a gun to your head, ya fuckin' mook.

So go whining to Islander that I wasn't polite to you like you did before when you reamed me out first in a PM.

I don't know what U R talking about there....but, if you say so....

Dishonesty also makes people slip.

How have I been dishonest?

It catches up with people.

If I catch up with YOU, asshole, you will regret it. This 41-year-old-boy from Detroit can kick your ass, I guarantee it. What a dick. I was polite to you on the Board, even made a joke, and I was more than polite in my PM...you wanna have a face to face, fuckstick, call me 774-****...but, you goddam @#$%&, you don't have the nuts to call...and if U R female, no problem, I'll have my lady kick your ass...shit, I should just have her do it to if U R male, just to save me the time...what an asshole.

Trade I'm sorry you have to deal with that harassment. It hardly legitimizes or supports their mission. I was associated with them but upon becoming aware of this abuse I have dissociated myself from them. As a former member please accept my apologies.

Bombi, you have NOTHING to apologize for. I hope the medical mj issue is resolved to benefit you & those who need it but this other stuff will ruin that if something isn't done. Best of luck to you. For the record, I don't ever publish PM's but I know another person here who got this kind of abuse & this needs light shed on it.

The "nitwit" is very active making threats. He got in the middle of a car purchase I had going with a new arrival. Bottom line was the purchaser didn't pay me all that was due on the car and Marty basically took the car in exchange for an airline ticket so the new guy could get off island fast. Marty in turn listed the car on this board, found a buyer and supposedly sold the car with a small down payment, with the promise to pay me the outstanding amount due. After waiting sixteen weeks this is the email exchange:
Another six weeks has passed since your email of Aug 30, 2009 below, regarding payment of the balance due on the 1989 Toyota. Do you have an anticipated payment date determined yet?
I do not....I cannot find the fellow that bought it. If you see it on the road, flag him down!
I’d hate to think you are playing me! So, give me the full name and address/contact information you have on “this” guy and I’ll try and contact them.
"This" guy??? Fuck you. I'm sick of you and your tactics....
Nothing complicated about my tactics, I’m owed money for a vehicle that you have sold to another person. I certainly don’t see any reason for you to go psychotic and use profanity. I am using a very straight forward process: I ask you questions, you give me an answer, then I follow up when, based on your information, I should be expecting a response. Tactic is quite simple, if you have lost contact with him, or don’t know where he is, I still need from you his name and address/location if you now expect me to find him (“flag him down”).
I didn't like your implying that 'this' fellow didn't exist, and I don't like your use of the word 'psychotic', so I am blocking all future mail from you and you can now go it alone...you want your money, find the car... . If I ever meet you, there will be a physical altercation....and you will lose.

I truly believe that his "Expert Vehicle Inspection" service is a method to approach new people coming on to the island. And, I worry for their safety.

Geeze., Rockydock. I'm really sorry this happened to you. I think the term you used for him fits him to a T. If anyone recommends his mobile service here on this board, remind them of your experience.

greetings

are you saying that marty (that posts on here) bought your car with a down payment, sold the car to someone else and now will not let you know where the person he sold the car to is?
if so...
was there any paperwork drawn up between the two of you?
if not, depending on the agreement, sometimes verbal agreements stand up in court.
if marty bought the car from you, marty is the one that owes you the money for the car...not anyone else.
in a court of law, the judge will rule that marty owes you the money, as he was the initial buyer, no matter the circumstances.

bless

Oh, what fun to read what people post when they feel they were wronged...but, of course, the entire story is never posted, only enough to make them look like they were in the right.

No, I never purchased a car with an airline ticket...or in any other way. The fella that DID buy Rocky's car had me do a lot of work on it after he crashed it. When he decided to leave island, he gave me the car to sell for him, as payment and asked that, when I sold it, to pay off his debt to Robert Blosser on water Island (who has been known to give people bad deals on motorized vehicles...ask Jamie Cook about his wonderful experience with the boat named "Rocky Dock" that he bought from him). I agreed, warily, then contacted Rocky to let him now that the guy that bought it (ho I did NOT get from the message board) was going to make payments on it and I would get him his $400 because it was the right thing to do.. He kept contacting me demanding payment and I told him the guy was making payments and that he was behind and I would give it to him when I got it...then I lost contact with the guy, as his phone number no longer worked...he kept at it, then started calling me a liar and other things I won't go into here, so I told him that I was done with it. I don't need harassment from someone whom I'm trying to help. I washed my hands of the whole thing (never even got the full payment from the new owner) and he can contact the guy that actually owes him the money if he wants it. Any judge will agree...a judge will also agree that libel http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/libel is a solid basis for a lawsuit. Rocky, would you like to amend you libelous statement above?

With apologies to Marty, I would like to amend by previous post: I have never met Marty, and hopefully never will. In the one and only telephone conversation I had with him in June 2009 he stated that he paid John Nattin $750.00 for the Toyota, so that John could purchase an airline ticket to leave St Thomas. So, me saying "Marty basically took the car in exchange for an airline ticket" did not represent the truth as was told to me. I stand by everything else.

The point of the post was to confirm the threat, and what led up to it. I have noticed in watching this board in the past year that there has been at least one other similar situation between Marty and someone with the screen name UTTICA. In my limited voice, and email dealings I have been careful in sticking just to the facts, as I know them, when dealing with Marty. I have found him to be very verbose in his responses, and subject to jumping to conclusions, such as "I didn't like your implying that 'this' fellow didn't exist" to further his offensive rhetoric.

The posting below is just a sample of his creative imagination:
https://www.vimovingcenter.com/talk/read.php?5,110266,111237#msg-111237

"This baby will be on the road for another decade AT LEAST! I did the pre-purchase inspection on this before the third owner bought it a couple of weeks ago (A-1 shape then...since, he scraped the passenger front fender)" Marty NEVER saw this vehicle until at least a month after John Nattin purchased it in April and then relocated it to St Thomas in late May.

So, my warning to all is: Deal very carefully with this man, and be ready for an unpleasant, vulgar, and threatening exit strategy if things don't go well.

Once again, Rocky, you speak untruths and half-truths...once John purchased it, he had me look at it the next day after he got it on STT. Going into the entire explanation in an ad designed to sell the car is not a viable sales tactic. Since I did do an inspection on it, I posted it the way I did for the highest probability to solicit interest ...I was very impressed with how well you had maintained it, and I told John that then (as evidenced in my post you referred to in the above link)...he wrecked it about a month later, which is when I did a lot more work on it. I have my copies of the dated receipts I provided for the services performed. I certainly don't see what "creative imagination" you speak of, but your interpretations are your prerogative. However, standing by the rest of your post is still libelous...shall I call Joe Mingola on Monday to start the proceedings? He has been my friend and attorney for years. I often consult him when I have a question regaring the law and his advice has always been spot-on. I have not, nor will not, defame or slander you...your life is your life, live it how you wish, but when you start trying to undermine an individual's business, you tread very 'rocky' ground...

"and subject to jumping to conclusions, such as "I didn't like your implying that 'this' fellow didn't exist" to further his offensive rhetoric."
How would you interpret it when someone uses terms like "'this' guy"? That you really BELIEVED me?? It certainly didn't sound that way to me....

JJ and I had our H1N1 and pneumonia shots today and I told him if he was very brave that we would go to Kmart for a toy. He was very brave so we went to Kmart. There was a lot of stuff. The shelves were full and very few shoppers. We were in and out in 20 minutes. Lots of big screen TVs. We didn't buy anything except one small toy and a couple of videos.
