Someone who has spent his life as a heterosexual white male will never be able to understand how an incorrectly-made sandwich could trigger a trauma.

Is this really a problem? Should these "rich" people be forced to stop earning so much? Should the government step in and require these people to give their wealth away?

If these people had not earned so much would the poor be better off? Did the success of Microsoft cause Malawi to be the poorest country in the world?

i read the article yesterday about the 8 richest people in the world.. i saw a lot of bellyaching by a certain segment of the population. i dont understand why people hate the rich so much .

the rich provide the majority of taxes collected, they contribute billions to charity, they create millions of jobs. i mean, what more do people want from the rich

The rich are also going to provide all of these new jobs. Trump is looking too cut the federal government by 20% and spending by 10%.

Good move!

The rich take the risk they deserve the reward.

They don't deserve it when their companies exploit their workers, pollute our environment, our air, land, waters, harm human life, wildlife, and evade paying their fare share of taxes.

They don't deserve it when their companies exploit their workers,

Yes, they provide jobs and no one is forced to work for them.

pollute our environment, our air, land, waters,

You mean like Obama's EPA? The difference? You are allowed to sue companies, not the government.
“When passing the FTCA, Congress wanted to encourage government agencies to take action without the fear of paying damages in the event something went wrong while taking the action,”
http://durangoherald.com/articles/128111-epa-rejects-1-2b-in-claims-from-gold-king-mine-spill

harm human life, wildlife, and

Unlike the government which uses it's citizens for medical experiments without their permission and drafts them against their will and sends them to fight in places like Vietnam.

evade paying their fare share of taxes.

Because we all know, they should be paying more than they are legally required to pay.

It takes a special person, to have the drive, willing to put everything even their family life as well as their health on the line to make it, whether it be them or their families. Yes, they DID EARN what that have unlike a lot of Americans who are on Government assistance or down right hand outs and still won't hit a lick at a snake. Alana, I believe you as well as the rest of you left wing liberals are communist. If you study communism, you will see all of the things you hate deal with capitalism. Communism has been tried and has NEVER works and never in history has there been a society that has such a large amount of people with a wealth over a million dollars. Now a days a million dollar house hold is considered middle class. This is all do to capitalism.

Alana, are you willing to trade in your truck for a electric car that will cost $40,000.00 and will only have the ability to drive 200 miles if your lucky before needing to be charged for 12 hours. Are you willing not to run your smog inducing generator when the power goes out for days or weeks, or how about ride a bike to conserve fuel. This country can not not function on solar even with battery power and wind combined, not even a minute percentage of this country. So you have no argument until such time as something is developed that can do what we have now to replace what we have now and they just aren't wanting to use it. Then you will have a fight and I will be one of your biggest supporters, but right now the fruit ain't ripe yet.

Yes, of course, many of them worked hard and risked all to build up businesses. But the workers worked hard and put their family, lives and health on the line to make that happen. If you're going to use those on government assistance for contrast, you should play fair and give a mention to the Walton kids, the Koch brothers, the Mars family and on and on. For every Gates and Zuckerberg, there's a Romney and a Marriott. In fact, the percentage of inherited wealth on the Forbes 400 is much higher than the self-made type. I'm sure most work hard, but come on.

I have studied communism, and I am by no means a communist. I am actually a fan of capitalism, and my liberal beliefs are not counter to it. It got me where I am today. Your definition of middle class is a hilarious stretch, usually used by those on the high end to avoid being called rich. Middle class is defined in many ways (income, wealth, job classification, and where one falls in the percentile overall, based on these measures (which is the measure I think you are using), etc), and by using many different bars. But by nearly all data measures, the middle class is shrinking. It's one of the reasons for the angst that got trump elected.

You are using the nirvana fallacy to the extreme here. We do what we can, based on what we can afford. I spent an extra $7k on a hybrid car years ago, because I could. As the manufacturing becomes more efficient, price gaps come down, as it did with hybrids (and air conditioning, refrigerators, the original auto, air travel . . . ). We were told recycling wouldn't work because it was too costly. But now, in most places, that's not the case. We were told the same thing about solar and wind. Have you seen Musk's calculations for solar? Eventually doable. There are two types of people when it comes to innovation. The "It'll never fly, Orville" types, and those that work on the obstacles and get things off the ground.

Its an attempt to educate you and why your conclusions are incorrect

You probably want to understand where the data is coming from and how its being presented before making proclamations

Thank you, oh so intelligent and enlightened one.
I feel so much better now.

Perchance, you should get you facts straight or are they "alternative facts"
that trump and his minions are so fond of.
According to a recent tweet from the news organization, Politifact, they’ve fact-checked Trump 348 times, and found his claims to be lies over fifty percent of those times.

‘We have fact-checked Donald Trump 348 times. More than half rate False or Pants on Fire.’

Keep on deluding yourself.

so you really are just waiting for an excuse to say something, aren't you?

go re-read that exchange, he mentioned that you should do some personal research based on these articles you post; as the one you posted and the source they reference don't line up well.

Reading your posts reminds me of why plagiarism is bad.. it's so obvious!

It's funny that you think that anyone doesn't think like you do is a Trump supporter. I guess that makes it easier for you to ignore the criticism of your opinions/beliefs and go along thinking you have the moral high ground.

The first step is to admit you have a problem.

Good job.
