Apple FaceTime troubles

So it's my son's birthday today. He and the family just moved into a new house near Nashville. I dig out my laptop, download the app, sign in and wait… Then it comes back that it can't connect to the network server which, I presume, means BBVI. Tried opening a new account on FT only to get the same message…

Then I logged on to Apple's discussions and learned that FT IS supported in just about every other Caribbean country, BUT NOT here in the US Virgin Islands! Sheeeesh!

What gives BBVI?

I had the same problem with Sharp smart TV.

Many applications, including the browser, are not supported since we are outside of the US.

I went to Apple's FT page and that's where I DIDN'T FIND the US Virgin Islands. The BVI and dozens of others were there including Puerto Rico, just not our little US Territory…

Then I located a work around on the Apple discussion forum but, so far, it hasn't worked either…

Bummer…
