I heard he called in on Thur, Mar 10 the day of Republican caucus, but I haven't heard what he said. Wondering if he made any promises or comments about the territories.

Story about our Republican caucus is here:

At the same time, many VI residents were subjected to recorded telephone calls from the Drumpf For President posse urging them to rush out and vote for these delegates. I was lucky enough to be called TWICE. These guys are "uncommitted"? Sure.

According to the USVIGOP.org website, the Chairman is supporting Ted Cruz.

Canegata's listed as unaffiliated. But, really, who cares - this whole GOP debacle is excruciatingly embarrassing. 🙁

IMO it brings attention to the territories which will hopefully yield some political benefit.

This issue is very important to those born in a U.S. territory.

That's all they could come up with for candidates?
Not only embarrassing but sickening and frightening to even consider the possibility that one of them could become POTUS.

I'm loving it, it makes for some good TV, seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up. I'm a repub and will most likely sit out this primary and more than likely the election as well when this is what they have to offer. Although I like a lot of what Trump is saying, but not the way he's saying it. Like they say, if you don't vote you don't have the right to complain. So I'll just have to remember not to complain.

NYT has a good article on gemographics of Trump supporters. Surprisingly his biggest supporters seem to be these that billioners hardly care about. The white working class (but out of work), out of labor force (disability and workers comp) , these that failed to adopt to new economy.
They believe that Trump can make this country great again but to my understanding they look more like a liability than an asset.

They may be in luck. Trump will need some people in brown shirts with more brawn than brains should he be elected.

I found two of the trump campaign recordings on my answering machine last week. Which is weird because I am a registered democrat. I actually wanted a live person to call me back so that I could tell them that I think trump is a lunatic.

But isn't it funny no gemographics of Hillary Liar Liar pants on fire supports. Who will say and do anything you want to get elected seriously she will and lets not forget old Bernie the communist that believes in taking 90% of your earnings to pay for government spending and all of these programs that he believes the 1 percenters on Wall Street can cover the cost. His motto is "You Work for the Government". How about Hillary care, she wants anyone who doesn't have health insurance to be arrest and jailed. This isn't the America that I grew up in. BUt I like how the dems keep changing the constitution to include things like everyone deserves a free education and health care, which isn't included in it. But they will add amendments to cover I'll bet you.

By the way STTSailor, the Democrats created that wellfare state mentality. There used to be a huge surplus in the Social Security Disability budget. So the Government in their all seeing wisdom decided to rob Peter to pay Paul and started sending folks around pulling homeless people off the street and trying to find by what ever means necessary to get them covered under Social Security Disability, which is funny because most of them never worked a day in their lives or not nearly long enough to even qualify.

GOP has started wars and left us with huge deficits and recessions.
They've voted against every bill to help and support veterans.
They're anti environment and wildlife, misogynist, xenophobic, pro corporations, racist, bigoted and seriously delusional.

I'd take Hillary or Bernie, any day, over this crop of republican candidates.
Sorry guys!

My guess is they simply went through the local 'phone book. I'm not a US citizen so am ineligible to vote but they called me twice.

The ratio is 5 Democrats to 2 Republicans who started wars since World War I:
World War I: Woodrow Wilson, Democrat
World War II: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Democrat
Korean war (1950-54): Harry S. Truman, Democrat
Vietnam War: Lyndon B. Johnson, Democrat
Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq: Bill Clinton, Democrat
Persian Gulf War, George HW Bush, Republican.
Afghanistan and Iraq, George W. Bush, Republican

We still have troops in Korea. 30,000 troops for the past 60 years. And Vietnam resulted in the most US casualties in the past 100 years.

Our troops and veterans overwhelmingly support Republicans.

The Southern Democrats started the KKK to fight Republicans.

"Started" wars? Well, one could argue that the WWI and definitely WW2 were started by other countries. The DoD has recently changed the start date of the Vietnam war to 1955 meaning Eisenhower was president.

So when is the local Democratic Party going to hold an election to select their delegates to the convention? They are running out of time.

Haha and you would say that Bush started the Iraq war, when in fact the majority of Democratic Senators, 29 out of 50, voted in favor of invading Iraq.

Actually, the US started sending advisors to Vietnam in 1950, that would be Truman. However large numbers of troops were not sent in until the early 1960's, during Kennedy.

The 1955 date was when the first US "advisor" was killed.

There is plenty of blame to go around. Both parties love war. Where is the evidence that republicans love war and democrats love peace.

Will the voice of VI democrats be denied in choosing delegates to the national convention?

Who goes if the delegates aren't publicly chosen?
