If your beliefs are backed by facts and facts are backed up by numbers...that's science.

By the way everybody, it doesn't cost any more to be nice.

I appologize for my rants. But, it's difficult when some attacks and barates people for no reason. It's like the OP was baiting us. We are all entitled to our opinions. He asked, we answered.

csj092809,
"belief" is the perseverance and tendency to cling to ideas even when confronted with evidence to the contrary. So there are more beliefs than confirmed science which in turn makes belief stronger. This is not out of the box thinking or abstract association. it is fact. FACT "belief is stronger than science.

This sums up the answer to your question

This post was more fun when a few of you we're threatening each other.

Personally I believe something greater than us created the universe, and the universe has evolved to what it is now.

Sometimes I miss the feeling of certainty that so often enthralls the ignorant and naive. But sooner or later we must grow up.

This thread rather brilliantly illustrates that the loudest voices usually carry softest arguments. Rather than parsing the statements of someone who can barely write, I'll just offer that, generally speaking, science aims to take complex ideas and render them transparent from all angles, whereas "religion" in all its modern guises relies on taking simple concepts and rendering them opaque and impervious to reason. Most thoughtful people can recognize the purer and more beneficial motive.
