I sure hope it avoids us too!
As Jamison posted on facebook, the POS infrastructure here cannot take a hit from a hurricane!

What better way to pay for some new hospitals, schools, and infrastructure than federal disaster aid? Let's hope not. I think Sandy took out some of our roads which got repaved from Sandy relief.

trumps new infrastructure plan might actually be a good thing in the aftermath of harvey.
many less hoops to go through so hopefully can get things done faster.

I bet the NAFTA guys are super happy since Houston was squarely in the way of their proposed new super highway and I don't doubt they will jump all over this crisis "opportunity" as Rahm Emanuel so eloquently (and FKING CREEPILY) put it.

If I had a bigger tinfoil hat I might try to connect the two events, but I'm not that far "out there" yet.

Agreed. I pray it's not as catastrophic as predicted.
And pray we don't face anything remotely similar.
