The 3rd Annual Caribbean All-Clay Art Exhibition
Tillett Gallery, Tillett Gardens, St Thomas, USVI
Opening Reception October 26, 2007
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

St. Thomas: We are pleased to present this year’s show at the renowned Tillett Gallery where a wide range of traditional and innovative sculpture, functional ware, tile and objects d'art produced by local clay artists, potters and ceramicists will be on exhibit. All work is for sale. Come and see the exciting and unique effects that take place when fire meets clay.

Following the successful FireWorks I exhibition in 2005 at Gallery St. Thomas, an expanded FireWorks II in 2006 was hosted by Mango Tango Gallery with 26 artists exhibiting 54 pieces. The FireWorks Network seeks to bring this annual promotion of ceramics to a wider audience, by encouraging participation by “artists in clay” across the region, including all the islands of the Caribbean. We hope to enhance the status of ceramics as an art form comparable to painting. This year's show will be juried by award-winning, locally know clay sculptor Edney Freeman with prizes in Professional, Intermediate and Student categories, as well as a People's Choice and a Artists' Choice awards.

Sponsors this year include Ricardo and Josephina Charaf, Michael Weinman, MSI Interiors, Marriott Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star, Bluestone Services, Mango Tango and West Indies Company.
