Does anybody know which beaches or restaurants at the beach in STX have free Wi-Fi?

Can one access internet from Tamarind Reef??

I work from home but want to take my kids out to the beach while I work so I am looking for a place that I can still be connected while taking the kids out.

Thanks!

Mermaid at the Buc works. Just tell them at the gate you are going in for Lunch.

Or, if you are not going in for lunch pay the $4.

They make you pay either $4 or $6 even if you are going to lunch. I've gone several times, and told them I was going to lunch at the Mermaid (which I legitimately WAS), and they still charged me - usually $4 but once it was $6. They probably could see I was wearing a bathing suit under my shirt, HOWEVER I did eat lunch, and my companion did as well! It really irks me that they charge when I am going to lunch!!! Anyone going to eat lunch there is probably going to use the beach as well. I was going to show the guard my receipt and ask for a refund but his shift was over and another guy was there.

On the West-End, Rainbow beach has free wifi.

So does Turtles Deli, but that's not a great beach--only a great view!

The Divi has free wi-fi.

It is pretty strong in the beachside bar, & I get about 3 bars with my iPad next to the water.
