JULY MEMBER ACTIVITIES

Are you suffering from summer doldrums? Looking for something fun to do?

Join SEA and friends for 2 great activities this month!

Saturday July 21st: 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. Southgate Beach Clean-up with CRABBS

Please join SEA and the CRABBS Dive Club members to keep our beach litter free! We’ll provide bags, water, gloves, and litter grabbers, you provide the muscle. Even in the morning the sun is hot so hats and sunscreen are recommended.

Bring your bathing suit for a refreshing dip after the sweaty work!

Meet at the north end of the driveway between Cheeseburgers and Chenay Bay.

Please call SEA to register, 773-1989.

Saturday, July 21st: 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. Geocache Search at Hamms Bluff

Don Bailey will give an introduction to this popular new hobby and then lead the search for the Hamms Bluff treasure using handheld Global Positioning System (GPS) units. The treasure at this location, one of six on St. Croix, was placed by students from the talented and gifted program at Ricardo Richards School. Sunset views from Hamms Bluff should be spectacular! The hike is challenging, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes. We will provide several GPS units for your use or bring your own.

Meet at Sunset Grill promptly at 4 p.m.

Free for SEA members, $10 for non-members.

Call 773-1989 to register

SEA member activities are open to everyone, sometimes for a small fee. Bring a friend who shares your interest in St. Croix’s beautiful environment…

Darn, I missed the GEO search. Is there one in August or September? Do people usually find the items? I know they place these items inside something so small that it usually never gets found.

Thanks.

Marlene

Not sure Marlene. You might try the SEA website and see if they have more information about the GEO search. http://www.stxenvironmental.org/.
