This Sunday! October 2nd, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center will be hosting its first (hopefully Annual) Oktoberfest party at the Agricultural Fairgrounds! Woo Hoo. SPATEN Beer on TAP- we brought in Kegs of beer and will be doing the 'tapping ceremony' to kick off the event a 5:00! Your get a HUGE commemorative glass Mug with Oktoberfest logo, filled with the good stuff. You also get a great German meal with your choice of Brat/Knockwurst's/Chicken !/4, along with choice of two of several great sides.... sauerkraut, red cabbage, spaetzl, german potato salad, beer carrots, etc. - How about a slice of sourdough bread with that! All for just $50.00 donation to the shelter. Enjoy the brass band OOM PA PA, do the chicken dance with us, try your hand at barrel rolling or just sit and watch the festivities while you munch on a PRETZEL! Top off the evening with Apple Strudel or Gingerbread (Lebkuchen)! It's going to be a super great time and it all benefits the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center.! Don't miss this event. Tickets are available now at Polly's at the Pier, Ziggy's Gas Station, Undercover Books, A Better Copy, Trends in Town! $50.00 for a great cause and a great time!

Oh... don't be confused. There is an in-town Rocktoberfest event on Saturday during the day from 11 to 7 to benefit another great cause; St. Paddy's day Parade Fund. If you are a die-hard German fan... like I am.... you could attend both and make it a German weekend!

Really hope to see you all at the St. Croix Animal Shelter's OKTOBERFEST! Let's make this a great event for the shelter.

PS... if you are a longtime shelter fan you might remember our Clambakes... the shelter is hoping to make Oktoberfest it's new affordable fall event that appeals to everyone... Please support them.
