Does anyone know if the University offers photography classes (for non-students) or if there's anywhere else to take a class?

Thanks!

Hello Laurel,

I don't know of leisure classes being offered at UVI. I am quessing thats what you mean, as I know some unversities on the mainland offer dance, cooking, language, yoga, photography among others for both students and the community. I checked their web site and didn't find anything on photography. Their web site is www.uvi.edu

Try the VI Photography Association, http://www.vippa.com/
and see if they offer anything.

I recall seeing on Steve Simonsen, a St. John photograher, that he offered classes. http://www.stevesimonsen.vi/stevebio.html
Drop him an email and find out where, when, if in fact there are some private photography classes available.

I'll ask at the next VIPPA (Virgin Islands Professional Photographers Association) meeting, see if any of them know of any classes.

Yes I am aware of that and know who it was - not sure it's continuing - but was Laurel asking about here on STT or on STX??? I can send an e-mail and ask about STX if it's there she's interested in.

So Laurel, St Thomas or St. Croix?
