Hello! We are new to the island and are looking for play groups for my 3 yr old daughter. She is dying for some friends and social interaction.

What area are you in? One good way to meet people is to go to a local beach on the weekend. I don't have any children and those I know who have them, their children are in the 8 and up range, so I really can't be as much help as I would like. Now that it is getting to be holiday time, I'm sure there will be all kinds of weekend family activities in Havensite and on the Waterfront. Don't forget to check the Daily News and the Island Trader. Good luck to you!!

Thank you visnorkeler! We're living on the north end. I appreciate the advice. I will definitely pick up the papers and get out there. Thanks!!

VIsnorkeler, very good advice.

When you say Northside, I assume nowhere near the safari route to go to a local beach to meet some other Moms.

Do you belong to a church? Sometimes they have children's activties. (You don't have to belong to one, just look in the paper for activities)

Do you neighbors have any children about the same age as yours and if not, maybe you can ask for suggestions from them what they did with their children when they where your child's age?

Hello LOTS to Learn!!

STT is full of children's activities. First, join Tots on the Rock Facebook page. Search and go under groups to filter.

Second, the Tot Lot on the Northside (crown mtn road) near friendly's gas station (not running) has a Wednesday 10 am playgroup for young children

Tuesdays at Antilles there is a movers and shakers class for young kids for an hour the play on big gymnastic pads and sing/dance
(they also do a fitness class...)

Thursday is beach day at Linquist (smith bay) beach from around 10 am onward there are lots of children

HOPE this helps!!

Stthomasbabymama Thank you!! This is exactly what I've been looking for!

I just sent the request to the facebook group.

How much does the Antilles class charge?

We will be at Smith Bay this week for sure! I can't wait!
