wahoo fishing--boat size/type

anyone fish off smaller boats for wahoo? where are the hot spots there?

You should probably post this on the relocation forum.
No one is going to divulge their hot spots, so you can forget that idea unless you go out on a private charter.

let me rephrase:

do people fish off of <20' vessels. the ocean depth drops off so close to shore...i was wondering if small boats can easily access the fishing grounds? thank you

Having been in a 26 and 32 ft boat during 6-8 foot seas I can say I wouldn't want to be out in a boat <20 ft. I'm sure there are days you could get out there but things change fast. I have never been sea sick in my life until trip on 32. I was chumming the water for an hour

Yes, as long as you have a seaworthy boat.

let me rephrase my rephrase:

the shelf lies 1/2 mile to 4 miles off shore---seems too good to be true, such close access.
it appears a fishing paradise----what am i missing?
