Wellness in the Sun Fair - Saturday @ Magens

The 1st Annual Wellness in the Sun Fair will be held this Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at Magens Beach from 10 - 4 pm at shed 3. Hosted by the Virgin Islands Therapy Association (VITA) and sponsored by Yacht Haven Grande and Schneider Regional Medical Center, the event will promote good health and wellness by showcasing a number of fitness activities such as yoga for children and adults, Tai Chi, Qigong, Aikido, water aerobics, meditation and adaptive swimming. Special activities for children will include face painting, kayak rides, sand castle contest, and a sand sculpture class. Other community organizations that promote wellness such as massage therapists, chiropractors, fitness trainers, nutritionists and local healthful food vendors have been invited to attend and will be on hand for demonstrations and consultations. Although the event is free, donations are encouraged with all funds going toward the VI Disability Fund.
