I have been thinking for quite some time about moving to the Virgin Islands but I have a ton of questions!
1. As far as safety goes, would it be safe for a single 19 y.o. girl to make the move by herself down there?
2. What are some good websites to find people looking for roommates down there or to find affordable condos/apartments?
3. What is the legal age to bar tend down there? In Colorado it is 18, so I could possibly train here before moving so if I cant find another job I have something else to fall back on.
I have so many more but those are the important ones for right now! 😉 Any insight would be much appreciated!!! Thank you! 🙂

1. Depends on the girl and what island and neighborhood she chooses to live in.
2. You will have an easier time finding housing when you are on island. It's not a good idea to rent anything sight unseen or move in with people you've never met.
3. The drinking age here is 18. As far as I know, you don't have to be any older to bartend.

If you have not already done so, use the "search" feature at the top of the page (all dates) and start reading. The next thing is to plan a PMV=pre move visit, it might be the best money you will ever spend.
Many people your age have moved here alone. Some stayed, but most moved on after a time. You also need to decide if St Thomas or St Croix would be best for you.
