-- Load the STX maps onto your GPS.
-- It gets dark early, and driving is on the left. Make sure you leave the airport early.
-- Pack light, as the island is informal.
-- Ask your host to put a pizza or something in your refrigerator.
-- Explore both the West and East side of the island, it's like two different countries.

Ask your host to also leave a gallon of drinking water or pick up a bottle before heading to your place.

It is always nice to have a hat that doesn't blow right off your head too easily.

If you are traveling with a pet, be sure to have some of their food/snacks packed in a carryon or checked bag.
Also call the airline to remind them 24 hrs prior to departure you have a pet, they only allow so many per flight.
