I have seen allot of people here talk if the Virgin Islands have 3G or not. Yes the virgin islands have 3g with Sprint not yet with AT&T . Sprint has been running a 3g network in Puerto rico and the USVI close to 2 years now. Sprint uses a CDMA EVDO network that has been fully 3g for over 2 years. I just read in the Caribbean business from Patricia Eaves General Manager for Sprint/nextel in Puerto rico and USVI that by August 2009 Sprint will launch 4G network in the US, Puerto rico, USVI and Hawaii this will put Sprint at the forefront in broadband speeds. As per AT&T the 3G network already works in San juan Metro area and many towns in Puerto rico they are saying that by the end of the year it will be operational in the USVI. AT&T is already selling the iphone 3g in Puerto rico i don't know if they are selling it in the USVI.

AT&T started selling 3G I-phones in the USVI within the past couple of weeks.

I hope this means the network is being upgraded.
I find myself surfing my phone while waiting around for things to start.
Even the 'mobile' web can be slow.
I really miss a good daily newspaper.
