Ms Information: Where were you in California? I was in San Francisco for that earthquake standing at the corner of Castro and Market.

Hi Glynnswife & rotorhead
I was living in Aptos (Santa Cruz county) right near the epicenter of the "Loma Prieta" earthquake. We discovered St Croix that same year (1989). St Croix was just recovering from hurricane Hugo, but we fell in love with the place and have never been the same.

Unfortunately I am back in northern California, but working towards going back to STX full time. I have only been a winter resident of stx during the past few years.

Thanks for asking
