Hello,
I am switching from private seller to a car dealer to find a good car for the island.
I am trying to find a used car, possibly 4wd.

Has anybody had an opinion (positive possibly) about caribbean automart or other dealers?

Thanks,
nino

Ok, that is a strong statement. Any other option that would you suggest?

Thanks,

I've never used Caribbean Auto Mart so can't comment.
I have used purchased from private owners, taken vehicle to my mechanic for assessment and also purchased my truck that is now 19 years old, runs great and looks good (after some updating) from Community Motors.

All the rental car companies are selling used cars and with some very good warranties on many of them.

Johns Auto Center next to the BMV in Sub-Base had some nice 4 wheel used vehicles when I was looking a few months ago.

A friend just purchased a really nice vehicle from Budget - had it checked out by a highly reputable independent mechanic, the price was right and it's still under warranty.

Hello Nino,

As a possible option, you may want to consider buying a car in the U.S. Mainland and then we shipping it for you.

Here are some websites that can help you out regarding your car purchases.

http://www.carfax.com/ - check car history

http://www.aimmobileinspections.com/ - mechanic services that can check the vehicle on site

http://www.kbb.com/ - check vehicles market value

www.cargurus.com - check car sales in U.S. mainland

We will be happy to provide you rates / service information. We offer shipping services between U.S. Mainland and USVI.

Straker Motors on Northside Road across from Echo Valley Tires. Their vehicles are close to new. In great shape. Many originally from local dealers so they still have valid factory warranties. (tu)
