Hi all:

Thinking about flying down to St. Croix for a few days with the family in a couple of weeks. Hoping for some feedback about weather, and opinions about Chenay Bay Beach Resort-we'd do some sight seeing etc., but wondering if there will there be enough activities on site to keep teenagers occupied.

Peace and thanks for any replies.

here is a bunch of reviews from Trip Advisor, may they will help. They have some water sports there and a nice pool. Christiansted is only a few miles away.

Chenay Bay Beach Resort is lovely. Great beach and nice pool. I believe they have kayaks, and the snorkeling is decent. Food is good too!
Have fun!!

Chenay Bay Beach resort has a" great pool" however the beach is loaded with sea grass. Great Beach bar the food wasn't so good since they changed cooks.

Chenay Bay is my sons favorite place. There is a beautiful coral reef to the right of the resort as you are facing the ocean. There are starfish everywhere. Sunday is family fun day and they will bring food and drinks out to the beach for you. You can kayak out to Green Cay, a little island just off the beach. We often see huge rays jump out of the water just to the left of the island. We always see sea turtles when we kayak there. If you walk to the left there is some nice sandy sea bottom if the sea grass bothers you. Also you can walk down that beach all the way to Green Cay Marina. At the end of the beach there are some wonderful tide pools.

Due to the nature of the English language, would you please confirm whether you are a short family looking for a getaway or a family looking for a short getaway. With clarified information I may be able to help you.

Check out cheapcarribean.com. look by sales, then by destination, scroll down to St Croix and click on that. They have some very nice package deals on there.

Yes, "that's my way"

If you have considered staying in Frederiksted, I highly recommend Cottages by the Sea.
Last week my family stayed there and we had such a great time. Sea Turtles were hatching and we got to hold baby ones (under supervision of the turtle people). We got to look at & touch local bats (under supervision of the bat people).
During snorkeling we saw sea turtles and a small ray. There is so much for teenagers to do from Jet Skiing to stand-up paddling, to jumping off the pier, fishing off the pier, and snorkeling under the pier. The hotel also offers free bicycles.

My family is coming back & they will stay at Cottages the next time too. The location offered so much!

If a short family stays on a short boat, then they can save on docking fees.

Sorry.

STX BOB, and if a short family can sleep sideways on a twin bed together, they can save money on a hotel room.

Were they people with turtles and bats, or actually turtle and bat people? 😉 (sorry, couldn't resist!)
