I just recently moved to STX!
But- I have noticed a dearth of psychiatrists on the island. I have adult ADHD, and have been unmedicated for a while. I know many family-practice doctors are uncomfortable (or just flat out refuse) to prescribe stimulant medications like Adderall. Or they look at me like I'm a drug addict!
I don't particularly need to see a psychiatrist. It seems they are in short supply anyway. I just want to go back on medication so I'm not so darned all-over-the-place.
Does anyone know of a local doctor who is willing to prescribe stimulant medications for adult ADHD? Any suggestions or leads would be helpful.
Also- this website has been very helpful since moving here! This is my first post, but I continue to return over and over again to check out the threads/advice!

One listing on STX for a Psych Dr Derek Spenser 713-3301 or just go to a PCP and he may prescribe or give a referral

I have a friend on the same prescription and she uses Dr. Bishop, I believe.
