Hello everyone, I am new to the board and newly considering moving to the virgin islands. I am a hotel management student at Johnson & Wales university and I graduate this year. My grandparents lived on STT for 20 years and I have visited it often. I am interested in finding an entry level hotel management position at one of the many wonderful hotels on the island (or any of the other islands, I am just the most familiar with STT). I bought and read the settlers guide and it was extremely helpful as were many of the past topics on this board. However I am interested in any tips, hints, or shoves in the correct direction any of you can give me about finding a position. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Definately a Pre Move Visit to pass out resumes, visit hotels, and hopefully talk to managers. You would probably have more hotels to visit on STT.

My stepdaughter is currently completing an internship in hotel management at Frenchman's Reef. If it is any help, she says the staff and personnel are all wonderful! Follow travelwoman's advice and contact the hotels on-island directly.

Thanks so much! Did your stepdaughter apply directly with the hotel for the internship? Because that sounds like exactly what I am looking for 🙂
