The ad didn't specify what area...I guess call the number to find out.

I remembered that I posted another ad from the Avis about 6 months ago, about a missing African Gray. I found the posting to get the phone number and I called the lady yesterday to let her know that a parrot was found, and gave her the phone # to call....but her parrot went missing 6 months ago and she told me at the time that its wings were clipped, so its highly unlikely that the poor bird would survive 6 months. When I called her yesterday, she told me that her bird was still missing, and she sounded so sad that I'm afraid to call her back to find out if it was hers that was found.

islandjoan,
I was desperately trying to find the posting about that bird from 6 months ago. I know I remembered "something". I understand not wanting to call her and find out it wasn't her bird, but can you call the person that found the bird? I was really hoping it was the same bird.

hi Juanita

I called the lady with the missing bird yesterday to tell her about the ad in the paper. She said her bird was never found and she had not seen the Avis ad so I gave her the phone # to call and she said she would call. She sounded soooo sad and I am afraid to call her back to find out if it was her bird. She lives in Queens Quarters. Yeah I could call the person that found the bird. I really hope it was the same bird, too. I hate to hear about missing animals + birds, it is so sad!

Unfortunately, it wasn't the same owner. It's amazing how many people have African Grays on the island.
