Did you all read this article?

Is this what we have to look forward to with Mapp's choice for AG?
Her behaviour quite boggles the mind and does not bode well for the people of the Virgin Islands, whom she is supposed to be serving.

Quite the hissy fit, temper tantrum being displayed by a power hungry public servant, IMO.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next.

Here we go! The King is appointing a bevy of heirs apparent and the production line will have a hard time keeping up with the crown orders. The only saving grace might be that when the King was a mere Prince In Training the internet was in its infancy and most of this sort of nonsense was easily swept under the rug.

What a waste of resources. Government crying broke and AG wants to prosecute a newspaper for trying to inform the public.

And these are the educated ones.

Has she even been confirmed? Let's hope not now that she's shown her diva side.

Mapp may be the final downfall of the VI.

Don't think so. The article said "acting".

Where is Miss Justice? I'm sure she could explain all this.

I thought she had to finish her caseload in private practice before she could be acting anything as conflict of interest presumed? Is she done?
She's one of the reasons Soroya Coffelt resigned as AG, I believe.
Acting out is more like it in this case.
Maybe Mapp will rein her in.
Quite the outburst!

The Daily News has not been her opposition as far as I can see. She isn't intimidating anyone - if anything, the Daily News has managed to make her look like an unreasonable ego maniac. She's losing the p.r. war so far.

Maybe before she's confirmed she should undergo psychological testing to see if she can be confirmed sufficiently mental stable to hold the position.

Can anyone cite a source that states that she has actually been nominated for the position of AG? She isn't on the legislatures schedule for confirmation.

She is acting until AG is appointed and confirmed. She will then be Solicitor General.

EE, hopefully you aren't that naive. Some are worse than others so you have to pay attention. As bad as DeJongh was, VI bonds are better than PR by most standards, though tax circumstances are different. He pledged every possible revenue stream. No new revenue so far from Mapp, yet he's increased spending for salaries.
