The deluge let up in STT.

Quick as a flash, I got up at dawn and laundered everything, luxuriating in all that extra cistern water. Am now enjoying seeing the laundry hanging in the sunny breeze. Better catch both sun and water while I can...

Best,

Well I hope you got done what you needed to. It is raining like it was yesterday now at 3:00PM and looking out over St. John all I see is rain clouds. The ocean water has too much pollution to swim in due to the run off. I looked at swimming this morning on Sapphire and there was a terd in the water so I did not go in. It will take a few days for the ocean to dissolve the run off.

I have never seen this is 15 years in non-hurricane weather.

Another flash flood warning is in effect until 8pm. Its pretty dark on stx east side. Really really hope we get a couple of days of sunshine after this. I'm starting to get pruny!

Yes, I got the last piece of dry laundry off the line as the drops started to form this afternoon. Before the rains came today I also shopped and did all my errands that I'd put off from earlier this week, trying to avoid the torrential downpours.

I replaced the laundry on the lines with all of my dusty plastic drop cloths and tarps to give them a good wash off in the rain water. May as well take advantage of the wetness as best as possible. This is some wetness, though.

I hear you, billd. One of the bummers of heavy rain is not being able to go into the ocean for a swim, what with all of the run off.

Hiya, I'm feeling pretty pruny, too. I'm gonna need a sunlamp to avoid seasonal affective disorder if this keeps up....
