Will I be able to get a passport down in USVI?

When I was in Stx on my pre-move my passport was stolen. When I went to the passport office at govt. house to report it, the young lady asked me if I wanted to apply for a new one so, I believe the answer is yes.

You can apply for a passport here. The passports are issued out of Miami.
