How fast does Amazon usually ship here-STX? I have tried toysrus before but it took over two weeks. Hoping someone can tell me if amazon comes faster. Thanks.

Unless there's been a change, Amazon only ships books and DVDs to the VI (and maybe Kindles.) I know I've tried to get other items to no avail and I used to use them all the time. Also, every time we get a book sent from Amazon to our PO box, wenget an email from Amazon that it was undeliverable; that's how wenknow to go to the post office. LOL.

Amazon ships many things to the Caribbean, but they are often a middle man for smaller stores who will not ship to either a po box or to the USVI. Electronics are often challenging, but there are a few that will and if not most stores have free shipping sales all the time, so then it makes VI Cargo very economical.

If you buy toys from Amazon you are buying from a third party so there's no guarantee on how fast it will come. Better to buy directly from the store and pay for expedited shipping.

I order from Amazon frequently. I get my shipments in usually 4-5 days if they come directly from Amazon. Some of their companies that ship items won't ship here due to foreign trade regulations imposed by NAFTA. That sucks! I then have to have the items shipped to my family in the states and shipped here by them which might take a little longer, but worth it if I want or need the item.

This is the ironic part of shipping from the states. I recently went online to Walmart to get something I couldn't get here. They didn't have it, but Walmart referred me to a website where I could get it: www.made-in-China.com . You sometimes can't get something from the US to be shipped here, but the gov't allows you to buy it from Beijing. WTF?

rhstoo, i did get the kindle shipped here, would have bought the nook but bn would not ship that here. we have ordered spices from amazon in the past and the shipping was crazy. i ordered an item for my neighbor on amazon, and they too sent a message that the item was undeliverable. also tried to order another item this weekend and the would not ship this item to a po box. i prefer bn for books
