Anoles in Louisville

I visited a PetSmart today with my 8-year-old granddaughter. We were looking for a specific pet toy, but we were also killing time looking at the animals, etc. We got to the frog and lizard cages and what do I see but a tank full of Bahamian Anoles. These are exactly like the ones that lived in and around our house on STX. Guess how much they cost? $7.99 EACH. I really missed the boat. Ric and I should have rangled a couple hundred of the little creatures and brought them up to sell. One of life's missed opportunities.

Speaking of Animals in Louisville on Saturday May 5th, are you and Ric going to the Derby today?
I know two couples from STX who are there...the ladies have their hats.

That's a shame. Those critters shouldn't be pets

We attended a derby party at my sisters. Bet on-line, lost about $30. But it was a beautiful day and the food was a lot cheaper that at Churchhill downs. Free in fact.

Everyone on STX please cheer of the Triatheletes for us.

Been to the Derby twice. Nobody should have to go more than that. It's a very long, tiring, expensive day. Having said that, DixieChick, it should be on your bucket list.

did the infield once while in college, a long time ago. Sure is a different way of seeing the Derby!

I think it may be a federal violation to transport the Anoles outside this Agricultural zone. You would have to declare it at the airport and it would get snatched.
