When I left STT at the end of October 2005, Fort Christian was in the beginning stages of an exciting and serious restoration work.

Can anyone tell me about progress that has been made, any completion date announced, or best of all - any new photos of the restored section(s)!? Thanks

Hey, Paul! How's things? I drive by it everyday, and it's still got a loooonng way to go. They are working on it, though, so they must be progressing. Haven't heard of any target completion dates, though. Anyone?

Hello,

I had read an article a couple months ago that said they had hoped to have it done by May 2006 but because of additional structural damage they found, termite damage to wooden floors they had hoped initially to save and also the discovery of artifacts - its taken longer and now they hope to be finished in December 2006.

PS. I had found this website a while back but couldn't find it when I posted yesterday... anyhoo found it today. Its a webcam in the Fort so you can see the progress being made on the renovations.

Islander - how awesome are you? Pretty darn near fantastic, I say!!!! Along with all the other people that have been so grateful and pleased with your work .... you are definately in the right business with this website - you are ALWASY THE BEST SOURCE/RESOURCE!!!

I have added the Fort Christian webcam link to those for the VI that I check every day.

This is absolutely 1000% better than just a photo of work in progress.

Thanks so much.
