Yes, there is a theater. It's pretty decent sized, and in good shape. They play new releases, yet are slightly behind the release schedule in the states. Same goes for music.

I have to say this, if you go to a movie on STT - go early. They started our movie 5 minutes early and the line for snacks is way long. Also, they really crank up the air conditioning - I saw people with their jeans and jackets on. I was jealous. I wore shorts and cotton shirt. I felt like a popsicle afterwards. 😉 We saw Elektra and it is a new release. They have only 6 screens, so maybe a few movies are shown late, but for the most part is seems they are showing new releases on time.

BTW, the theater on STT is up in Anna's Retreat next to Cost-U-Less.

Great News! I was thinking once I move I may have to travel to PR to see Batman Begins this summer.

My first love is movies- I'm moving to the islands for inspiration. I'm a writer/filmmaker.

the beautiful thing about the st thomas movie theater is that the air conditioner control is right on the wall 😉

Spiderman opened here the day it opened stateside. Same is not true for Phantom of the Opera, and we may never get Alexander.

I second the heads up posted by Teresa about the air-conditioning! Plan on wearing something to keep warm - absolutely NOT kidding. I should have said something managment about it (was just there is past weekend)..........they are wasting money keeping it that cold.

In terms of starting early? Mine was 10 minutes late, but then, no preivews or nothing, just started the feature - fine by me, but you could have missed it if you plan on getting there after a posted start time, thinking like in the states there are 10 or 15 previews before the actual film starts.

Thank your lucky stars if you DON'T get Alexander - what a TERRIBLE movie! Consider yourself spared an experience which could only be surpassed by having to sit through a rough flight on a small plane with the attendant vomit receptacles in full use... !
