there are 2 Crossfit locations -- 340 at the Old Bingo/Sports Complex building that also houses the Boxing Center and Stamina Sports) and 7 Flags in La Reine at West End Chiropractic) ... there also used to be a Gym out west that someone basically built off there house, but I never used that one and haven't heard anyone mention it recently ... also Teres Veho has some Crossfit/Paddle options as well...

I have heard great things about the very basic but also VERY cheap fitness center at the Canegata Ball Park just east of town.

Also...there is a very active running, cycling, and triathlon community full of people who love to get together to train and have fun. The events calendar is at www.vitf.org, and running event information can be found on www.virginislandspace.org. There is also a Virgin Islands Triathlon page on Facebook. They have kids races, too!

@lily1025: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CrossFit:

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program with the aim of improving, among other things, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, and flexibility. It advocates a perpetually changing mix of aerobic exercise, gymnastics (body weight exercises), and Olympic weight lifting.

it is also a business model capitalizing on the latest fitness craze... fairly pricey but does have pretty good results if you stick to the program and the local gyms have some great people working and training at their facilities (I think both also offer a free workout/consultation)... there are also free daily workouts posted on the original website: www.crossfit.com (note that most should ease into the program (any workout routine) to avoid injury).......

to add to the amazing job that the pace runners and VI Tri group are doing there is also the finfolk swim club (also on the vitf.org site) as well as an Ultimate Frisbee club ( http://www.facebook.com/groups/59409556368/), adult soccer leagues (340/719 9707), and developing "social club" ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/259511354189619/) for kickball and beach volleyball... and various other pickup games and community leagues (baseball/softball) ... have to work off those greenies and johnny cakes somehow......
