I'm in the beginning stage of hopefully buying property on St. Thomas. Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent. Also, are there any opinions out there about a buyer agents?

Thanks in advance
Lou

Dawn Wheatley with John Foster Real Estate. We bought our condo through her in september. She was excellent, went above and beyond her duties and is very knowledgeable about real estate on the island.

Although we ended up buying directly from a seller, Marsha Maynes did a great job keeping us informed of the available properties in our range and with our desired characteristics. 775-9200.

If you do plan on using an agent as a buyer's agent, please be sure to get a contract. Too many people have been burned by failing to lock in the agent's loyalty and duty with a contract.

Thanks for the responses. Is it possible to find something in the $500k range that has great views? I've been checking out the MSL and things seem kind of high. Are all properties for sale listed or are there some that are not?

Hey Lou,
I bought a home last may and used Shane Foster from John Foster RE. she was great and continued to help us w/ finding painting contractors, handymen for some repairs, landscaper... long after we settled and she was paid. She still helps us from time to time. As far as houses w/ views under 500k... eamil me
