Hello, this is Priscilla Lynn Soltes, resident of the USVI from 1991 to 2002. The USVI will forever been ingrained in my heart, and the colder it gets here, the more I miss it there. I now live in Connecticut with my new husband (imagine this, he didn't want to move to the USVI!). I'm wondering if there are any other former USVI residents living in Connecticut reading this? If so, and you want to remenisce, please e-mail me at [email protected].

Hi Priscilla:

I've never lived on the Virgin Islands, but I thought I'd just say hi because I've lived my whole life here in Connecticut. In fact, my family and I are taking our first trip to St. Thomas in two weeks!! I'm so excited.

I know how you feel about the cold weather approaching!! But this weekend is supposed to be nice. (I know, not much consolation) I keep telling myself that if I never experienced the cold in the winter, I wouldn't REALLY appreciate the summer. It IS true, and I also started skiing again with my family. It's fun and it makes the winter go by.

Hope this helped a little. Think warm thoughts!!

Theresa

Hi: I live in CT and have been going to the VI's for 13 years. I lived in Red Hook for 6 months in 93, on our houseboat. I'll be going again this year in Feb. Can't wait.

I'm a CT resident but a very frequent visitor to St. John. We used to have a condo in ST. John but have sold it. We are heading down in Dec. When in St. John now we stay on our boat in Coral Bay. We usually make 2 or 3 trips down every year. I spend about a month on island in the summer. Where are you in CT? Maybe we can get a group meeting together with other CT/islanders.

Go UConn !!! How about those #1 Men's & #1 Women's Basketball teams!!

I grew up in the Islands., when to school at UConn, and now I live in Northern VA. I tried to run away from that cold CT weather but I guess I didn't run far enough! Next Stop is right back to the VI - hopefully soon.....
