anyone missing a dog

A black medium size dog has been roaming around the Salt river area for over a month now. It does have a black collar on but no tags. I can't get to close to her, she is very skiddish.
I called the Animal shelter, no one has reported a missing dog.
I have been feeding her down by Columbus landing.
She runs between salt river and cane bay. I have seen her running down North shore road. Other people have seen her also.
By any chance does anyone know who the owner is? Just wondering if she is a stray now.

You can also try calling all your island's vets to see if anyone has reported missing dog.
Maybe ask radio station to report it.

If your feeding the dog in same place, the Animal Shelter should be able to trap it.
Harsh but better than it starving to death or all the other terrible things that happen to stray animals on our islands.

Good luck finding owners. I hope you can.

The animal shelter thinks it may have a home but I'm not sure. They said, since it has been seen running along N.Shore Rd. It might be going back and forth. It seems to be hungry, It's always around Columbus landing looking for food.
She did not come to eat the food last night, she sometimes skips a night here and there.
I will call the vets and post on Facebook. I will try to take a PIC of her.
If no one comes forward to claim her then I will call the animal shelter to trap her.
I hope I find the owners. She is a beautiful dog.

LiquidFloride, She may be already spayed. She does have a black collar on.
She is hard to get near, I will do my best to catch her. She is a runner. I'm watching her from a camera we have hooked up at our gated rd. She mostly comes at night.
Thanks for offering, I'll let you know if I get her.

Don't know if the STX shelter does the same, but the STT shelter will rent you a trap. Hope the outcome is positive, the poor girl!

Update, the animal shelter did bring a trap out. We trapped the dog last night. Now just waiting for the someone from the animal shelter to pick her up.
Hopefully her owners will come get her or she will be adopted. She does have a collar on.
So sad, this is the 4th dog this month.

What's her condition like?
Does she look like she's being fed. (in addition to what you provided?)
I hope she can be rehomed before euthanized.
If she is spayed already, the shelters will usually keep longer.
Our STT shelter is overflowing and packed to the max.
Good Luck.

She looks like she is in good condition.
Not sure if she was being fed besides what I was giving her. She always did eat very fast like she hadn't eaten. I was watching her from our gate camera.
Last night was the first I was able to get close to her, she was in the trap. She seemed scared but wasn't freaking out. I fed her some good chicken scraps, she loved it.
I'm hoping she has a home and maybe they just didn't tie her up. Maybe she gets loose out of there yard. Who knows.
I think she has a good chance of being adopted. Very pretty dog as long as her health is okay.
