My wife found this little female dog that is about 1-2 yeas old on the highway next to Diageo Rum Plant on St. Croix. We would love to keep her but already have too many animals in our little house (including an anti-social bush dog that doesn't get along with new dogs) and are expecting a new baby in November. We are trying to find her a good home. She is very socialized to other dogs, cats, and people. I have never seen a dog so well mannered and loyal. She was not wearing a collar, is not micro-chipped and do not think anyone is looking for her because she was emaciated and covered with fleas. She is house-trained and will come already vaccinated, de-wormed, and spayed. We will also offer free life-time veterinary care for this little dog...and even ship her to St. Thomas.

i saw that dog the other day. (monday) she was on the highway at the light by west entrance to hovensa. i pulled over and stopped traffic and chased her off the highway. poor thing she ran from me. thank god you have her now. she was adorable. good luck finding a home. wish i could help you out. afraid we start seeing more strays. not enough homes.
