Are most apartments on St. Thomas already furnished? I plan on moving from stateside and it would obviously bw a lot easier for me to find a place that is already furnished. Otherwise, is there a salvation army or similar store where cheap used furniture can be purchased on St. Thomas? Appreciate any input!

We do have a Salvation Army (ask for Howard), but a large sector of the apartments for rent are fully furnished. To the extent that all you need is a toothbrush and you're ready to go.

Karl: There are always "Leaving Island" sales advertised. You can pick up good used stuff fairly easily. Additionally, there is Home Again, a furniture resale store in Red Hook.
