Architects? Builders?

Hi again,

Still house shopping and one of the houses we are looking at needs some serious re-working.

Therefore, we might be in need of an architect in the near future and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good one. I am looking for someone who is good with traditional, classical designs.

We will probably want to talk to at least a few different people, so any referrals would be great.

Also if anyone knows of any good builders, please let me know.

If there is anyone that you think I should definitely avoid, please PM me with that info as well!!!

Thanks :),
Mell

mell: While I presently am very annoyed with development on this island, listening to the pound-pound-pound of hammers building concrete forms ALL DAY LONG!... I would have to say that Kevin Qualls and Springline Architects are very nice folks. Probably busy, but it seems that anyone in the building industry is busy.

Excuse me, the B & A EE 😉

EE,

I can certainly sympathize. There seems to be an awful lot of building activity going on -- especially on the East End (where we also presently live).

That said, if I decide to temporarily add to the clamor, I promise I will try my very best to be attentive to the needs of my neighbors :)!

Thank you so much for the referral!

Warm regards,
Mell

There is a "home show" this Saturday on STJ in the Marketplace. Supposedly a do-it-yourself and home stuff display...
may be good for you to check out?

Hi,

Before this thread is buried never to see the light of day again, has anyone else had any positive experiences with other builders and/or architects, or know someone who has?

We will definitely want to talk to a few people/firms.
