AT&T Laptop Connect Cards on STT

Can anyone tell me how well AT&T Laptop Connect Cards work on STT - if they work at all? My assumption is if your AT&T cell phone works the Laptop Connect Card should work, too?

Do they sell Laptop Connect Cards at the local AT&T stores?

If you've got 3G cell reception, any AT&T card or USB antenna will work for data.

If ADM Wireless has them in stock, you can buy one here. It's a safer bet to order online if you really need it.

Thanks...

I'm going to need to sign up for data service. And I need to do so real soon. I don't have a mailing address on STT to ship a card to. So I'll need to do it in person at an AT&T store. I imagine there must be one in Tutu Mall?

Is ADM Wireless an authorized AT&T dealer? If so where are they located?

As far as I know, ADM is the only authorized AT&T dealer on St. Thomas and St. John. If someone knows of an actual AT&T store on STT, please correct me. They're not in the Tutu mall but close by -- call them for the best directions and to see if they have what you want in stock. If not, they can probably order it for you.

AT&T also has a kiosk in Kmart, TuTu(near the mall entrance in Kmart).
Also, Radio Shack is a AT&T dealer in Havensight & Crownbay(Nisky).

I happened upon the kiosk in the Kmart in Tutu Park Mall a few days ago. I picked up a prepaid laptop connect card and signed up for the one month/1 GB plan. With only 2 signal bars i've been able to connect to the internet and read web based e-mail at reasonable (to me) speeds. I haven't yet done a speed test as i'm still monitoring my data use to see what my average daily use is before doing frivolous things like speed tests.

Really depends on where you are on island. My AT & T cell phone is pretty pitiful at home (Northside - Upper Caret Bay) and I tried the AT & T laptop card that didn't work at all...kept picking up BVI's tower. Got my laptop card directly from the AT & T store at Crown Bay; they do give you 30 days to cancel if it doesn't work for you but they charge you a re-stocking fee (can't remember how much?).
