Hello, I am considering moving back to the islands. I previously lived on ST. Thomas and enjoyed it very much, but noticed the lack of career orientated jobs. I have since returned to the states and have pursued a career in architectural drafting. I am proficient in AutoCAD and have a clear understanding of residential drafting. I do not wish to misrepresent myself in anyway, I still have a decent amount of learning to undertake. I do not have a degree; I started an online training course and started working for an architect in August of '05. I quickly dropped the course realizing how little it was teaching of what I really needed to know. I have been drafting ever since and enjoy every minute of it. I am looking for a firm that is willing to teach and has had some experience doing so or working with interns. I am looking for full time employment starting in August. If anyone has any suggestions of firms that I should contact please let me know. Thank you very much.
