Well it has been a while since I checked up on this site. I was kinda bored at 3 AM so I decided to check in.

I am currently 20 years old and working on my Commercial Pilot certificate in Pittsburgh PA. I have my private licence with an instrument rating and I will be all finished with school by this summer, I am just curious if anyone knows of any oppertunities that a low time pilot with an associates degree in aviation technology can take advantage of. Any Island is fine. I am debating on whether or not to get my CFI after the commercial. I will more than likely do it just for the experience though. Flight instructing, banner towing, skydiver dropping, glider towing, anything that I could do to build up hours.

Thanks

I don't have a bunch of knowledge in the aviation industry, but the only planes I see are jets, seaplanes, or helicopters. No banner towing, skydiving, gliders, etc. I think the VI might not have what you seek. I could be wrong, though. Check the yellow Pages at www.viphonebook.com

ACE Flight Center on STT might be able to steer you in the right direction. They offer instruction, rentals, etc. Their number is (340) 776-4141 and it's worth a try.

On STX we have two flight instructors. They both have their own planes. There are no gliders. No banner towers. Just about everything else that flys requires a multi, ATP. Aviation is a tough business to crack. Good luck.
