Anybody know anything about the Beachcomber hotel in St Thomas? I am thinking of staying there at the end of December. Thank you.

From first hand visiting at the end of September, when thinking of staying the night, I was greatly disappointed to find that it was a very different and seriously run-down looking place, than what you see on their website. Pictures say 1000 words, well recent photos would probably answer the question for you. It would NOT be my first choice, and I did not spend the night.

both are in the same vacinity as Beachcomber and have good rates for a beach front property... had friends stay at both and they were pleased.

My family and I have stayed at the Beachcomber hotel 5 times in the past two years.
We have found the place clean (though the furniture could be replaced with newer)
and the people to be very friendly. For the price you pay there you couldn't ask for
a nicer beach and close location to everything. We met many people who have been
staying there year after year.
