Beaches and hikes of STX

Sometime I am planning a trip to STX, and would like to stay somewhere in EA section preferably. Somewhere relatively cheap for maybe two weeks, any suggestions?

As well, what are some good clean sandy beaches with clean and clear water around EA or further east? Are there any beaches that are safe to visit at night for a couple of people in their mid 20s?

Does anyone know any good hikes (that would take several hours)?

Thanks!

The further east you go, the higher the prices tend to rise. Cheap vacation/short-term rentals aren't common. Once in a while you might be able to get a great deal on a week or two of fill in space between other bookings, especially if it's last minute and not booked.

Good beaches east of C'sted include Buccaneer Beach, Shoys Beach, Kramer's Park, Jack's & Isaac's Bay Beaches (which you can also hike to and combine your requests), Divi Beach, Chenay Bay Beach, and many others. The water tends to be clear in most areas of the island other than a few south shore places where there is a lot of silt or run-off from heavy rains that can murk things up now and then. Safest beach at night would be the Buccaneer Beach, most likely. Being enclosed in a high-end resort hotel complex does have that advantage.

Other hikes include to the Annaly Bay tide pools, up in the rain forest at Mt. Victory Camp, and a variety of other options depending on how creative you want to get. Some people will hike/backpack/camp the western sectors of Scenic Drive through some of the more rugged/untouched areas of the island.

It is the Quarter of StX (there are 7!!!!) called East End A - it is roughly Christiansted East to approximately Tipperary - further East is East End B!

Very interesting. Where exactly are the areas of Prince, Queen, Company and King? Just curious.

Company is just west of Christiansted - Richmond Golden Rock etc
Queen - Mary's Fancy, Ruby, Diamond etc
King, Clifton Hill, Mon Bijou
Prince is south and slightly east of Frederiksted - Campo Rico, William's Delight, Good Hope etc
That is rough idea
