Is there a bicycle shop on any of the USVIs? Is bicycling big on the islands?

Stamina Sports on STX is the only high end bicycle dealer in the USVI I am aware of. Most of the cyclists in the USVI are on STX. Terrain is best suited for cycling and racing. There are about 50 racers on STX. Not many casual adult cyclists. Bikes are not a practical way to commute for most people.
Suggest you search the board as this entire subject has been discussed in detail.

There now is a second bicycle shop now on STX. It is in Frederiksted. It was established to offer rentals to cruise passengers, but they are also authorized dealers for some high end bike lines.
Kid's bikes can be purchased at K-Mart or Gallows Bay Hardware.

Hey Jim )or anyone else),
Are there any bicycle mechanics on the island? I would really like to know if the cycling community has room for someone to help out in any way!

Given the few number of bicycles on STX IMHO there are enough mechanics on the island.
