How about getting around on bikes?
Is it bike-friendly?

I've just been for six days on St. Thomas, but am told it is not bike-friendly on St. Thomas. I think I was on virtually every road in six days. They are narrow, steep, with many blind curves and usually have no shoulder. Very dangerous. I saw only a couple of cyclists, and those wee neighborhood kids. People on the islands say forget it. I just spent part of a day hiking on St. John, but is seems more doable, since there are only 3,000 people there, and it is largely national park. I'm moving to the VI in a few week, and will leave my beloved road bike but take my mountain bike. Hoping for the best.
